Building a Mod-U-Kraf Home Step by Step Part II

Part 2 of 2 in a series

These are the sec­ond half of the steps to build a Mod-U-Kraf home. To read the first half, please visit here.

Now the inte­rior dry walling is installed and fin­ished while exte­rior walls are insu­lated and installed with storm sheath­ing. Once the mod­ule passes by this point, the inte­rior of your mod­ule begins to come together into a rec­og­niz­able house. All of the inte­rior walls are fin­ished and painted, win­dows and doors are installed, and exte­rior sid­ing is installed. The mod­u­lar sec­tion then moves on to where inte­rior doors and trim­ming is installed along with both your kitchen and bath­room cab­i­nets and coun­ter­tops.  Read more…

January Garden Projects

It may be cold out­side right now, but that doesn’t mean there’s not plenty of work to be done in your gar­den to get ready for spring. We’ve been lucky to have some very nice, warm days lately, which makes for a per­fect oppor­tu­nity to get out­side and get to work.

First of all, make sure you add a layer of com­post to your gar­den and flower beds. Not only is it great for keep­ing your soil well fer­til­ized and ready for plant­ing in a few months, but if you already have bulbs planted, the extra warmth and pro­tec­tion will keep them safe and alive, ready to pop up once the weather turns warmer.  Read more…
